What is the heart failure :

It is the clinical syndrome or the condition in which the heart is unable to pump the amount of oxygenated blood necessary to meet the metabolic requirements of the body

Nursing care plan for heart failure patient:

• Place the patient in a comfortable position

• Provide complete bed rest and bedside commode in acute stage.

• Keep the head of the be elevated

• Check vital signs and daily weight

• Administer medications as prescribed

• Monitor for signs of respiratow distœss and monitor ABG values

• Provide pulmonary hygiene as needed

• Administer oxygen if necessaw

• Encourage deep breathing exercises1 to 2 hours. 

• Passive range of motion exercises

• Give appropriate sedation according doctor order

• Restrict sodium as directed

• Constipation should be avoided

• Monitor the patient's compliance with medications, diet, and execise regimens

• explain and teach patients about their disease and different aspects of their treatment programs
